Kale Salad | Studio Vegan

I don't eat much of any green. I love kale, arugula and, watercress is all I eat. Well and lettuce from time to time. So summer here, I create this salad using what I had at home and boy!!! This was a home run for sure. The flavors are unreal and so simple to make. It's sweet, tangy savory combination amazing. You can add your own dressing if you'd like I made my own so let make this salad.

SIde note I never measure when I cook and even sometimes when I bake so they measurement are on point but they are close to what I use.

Ingredients & measurements

1/2 Mango

5 leafs Kale

1 appl apple

1tbsp avocado oil

1 tbsp lime juice

1 tsp maple syrup or agave

1/4 cup walnut and brazil nuts

Directions:

  1. Clean and wash your fruit and kale let them dry

  2. Cut kale like you'd cut up your collard greens using chef knife this technique is called Chiffonade

Recommended Tool: Chef’s knife

The chiffonade method is best for cutting herbs and vegetables like ( kale, spinach and collard green ) into long ribbons. Stack cleaned kale on top of each other roll them uptight and cut across hamburger style. Unrivaled and place in your bowl and set aside.

3. Now it's time to cut the fruit your apple and mango Cube

Recommended Tool: Chef’s knife

Using a more precise method than chopping, cubed ingredients are cut to a uniform size (e.g. “1/2-inch cube”). This cut is used with many foods, from potatoes to bread and fruits. Place those in the bowl on your kale.

4. Time to move on to the nuts, you can add them in as without chopping them up. I like mines in little pieces it adds, a texture to the salad. We are going to Mince our nut lol!

Recommended Tool: Chef’s knife or food processor

Minced ingredients are cut very, very finely. Mincing is the ideal cutting technique for aromatics, like onion, garlic, and ginger, where a paste-like consistency is a desirable end result.

Add that to the oil of you salad we are basically done you can add your own dressing you drizzle your avocado over the lime juice and agave or maple syrup and massage the kale for about 30 secs and then enjoy.
